this post is related to this event

I wish I had more time to write this post ..Im in the middle of preparing the flash prototypes to take for the MS event. but I just have to.. this may be my last chance to post, till next Thursday or Friday.

oh my poster was printed at A1 size on Friday..

For now this brief description and these very grainy digital pinholes.. would have to suffice. I wish Id taken my olympus! :( I will take again soon.

I cant express how utterly enjoyable the experience of walking into Jan Robert Leegte’s installation was..

I hope Tom Holley and Jan remember that particular state of mine..! its not very often Im like that.

Jaw dropped.. excited…elated.. dumbstruck.. at a loss for words..and full of admiration.

I dont know what everyone else thought but Jan’s presentation was very well thought out too

I loved his photo of scotch tape and pocket of air.

heres my sketch of it.

do visit his site I have such little time right now but I visited most of his links and relived some of the highlights of his presentation..

I cant pinpoint exactly what it was about Jan’s work, the simplicity, the effectiveness in conveying his idea.. the time, the space itself.. the arrangement of scrollbars.. resemblance to Acconci’s brand of conceptual minimalism.

It was just one of those things.. Im being serious.. literally like a religious experience for me..maybe its the hours spent behind a computer, tweaking scrollbars for client sites. maybe it was the effective illusion,... maybe it was ultimately the technofetishistic aspect that was perfectly embodied in Jan’s work that I loved!

damn fine.
